About

Better Housing Atlas is a small curated collection of housing projects worth studying.

The atlas brings together examples of thoughtful residential architecture: projects that respond to density, climate, affordability, community, and everyday quality of life.

Why this exists

Housing is often discussed through numbers: units, costs, regulations, and square metres. Those things matter. But good housing is also about how people arrive home, share space, get daylight, meet neighbours, and feel part of a place.

This MVP is a first version of a visual reference library. It is meant to collect projects that can help designers, researchers, planners, and curious readers compare different approaches to better housing.

What is included

Each project page includes a short overview, key facts, image credits, and a simple explanation of why the project matters. The focus is not on exhaustive documentation, but on clarity and useful references.

Over time, the atlas can grow with more projects, better filtering, richer image galleries, and more detailed notes on materials, planning, social impact, and long-term use.
